I was being kind of cheeky when I shared this on the Book O' Faces, but seriously, I really do need to remind myself of this very thing every single morning, or every night when I go to sleep. Probably something I should make a sticker out of and STICK it on the bathroom mirror ... Hold on ...
This:
I just ordered it. If you want one, you can get it here:
So ... In case you hadn't noticed, Canada is slightly lit up, and it seems to be spilling over down here in the southerly regions. Good lord! Below was yesterday morning on the way to the doc appointment. If THAT was "light" on the smoke map, I would hate to see the medium and high levels. And it doesn't seem to be letting up today either. I am not scientifically inclined, and thus, I do NOT comprehend how both the smoke AND the smell can travel this far. Wonders never cease.
As indicated above, yesterday, I went to see the OB/GYN and already, without ANY diagnosis, feel so much better about the current situation than I did after seeing the GP. He ordered a FULL FULL FULL panel of bloodworks, and I will go back a month from today and find out what to do next. I love this doctor. I have very few doctors that I have ever felt so strongly for, but this one is a keeper. He even draws diagrams to explain his points, and he GETS points for swearing. Go him for being real.
This face has broken my heart. Trust me, I would have gone directly to the shelter if not for some of his characteristics that make it impossible for me to do so. What a magnificent being. I hope and even pray that someone will give him the life of comfort and joy that he so deserves.
I took some time on Sunday to play around with the new graphic tablet. At least now I know that my style of handwriting/penmanship carries over in digital form. I'm beyond excited to perfect the calligraphy writing and find all the different "brushes" and "pens" that I can use to make it all happen. I'm currently in research mode, and watching/listening to a bunch of videos about Clip Studio Paint, which is where I did this writing. I just don't know where to begin, but watch out when I do!!
As for progress on the house, I mentioned a thing we did last week. Here's a sneak peak. Not ready to do the full reveal, and I should have posted a "before" of the front stoop, but I'll do that later. It's exciting. Soon, that white door will be replaced, the windows will be new, and you'll see the full effect of it all. It's exciting shit! This weekend, I think, we are getting the house a much needed bath after the concrete project. The windows thing will start either this week (tomorrow or Friday) or next week. This weekend, I believe we need to find a local nursery and pick out some form of shrubbery/plant life to complete the picture. Not in a rush because I want to make sure all the major work is done before I expose plants to their final situations.
FINALLY, this guy. His energy is infectious. His complete and utter adoration of NYC is equally infectious. I want to find as much joy in every day as he does. That rainbow shot is everything (you have to watch mostly all of it to see what I mean).
Find your joy. Make the best choices. Have an excellent day!
